Fortuity Launches Pathways Program with CoverMyMeds as First Employer Partner
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Feb. 16, 2022 - Today, Fortuity, a social enterprise call center, announced the launch of its Pathways Workforce Development program. The program is designed to prepare high-potential candidates for permanent employment with many of Central Ohio’s best employers, including CoverMyMeds, Fortuity’s first Pathways Employer Partner.
“Employer Partners like CoverMyMeds make a conscious decision to source these customer support roles locally, and to place those jobs in Columbus’ urban core where they can benefit residents that need a better work opportunity and higher income,” said Fred Brothers, President & Founder of Fortuity. “We’re very proud to collaborate with CoverMyMeds to transform the lives of our neighbors struggling to lift themselves and their families out of working poverty.”
Participation in Fortuity’s Pathways program gives Central Ohio workers a pathway to permanent employment with Central Ohio’s best companies.
“CoverMyMeds has built a reputation for contributing in a positive way to our communities where we live and work, and we’re continuously expanding our efforts to meet the growing needs of those around us,” said Miranda Gill, Vice President of Network at CoverMyMeds. “We look forward to welcoming 40 remarkable individuals as an extension of our team to help people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives. As leaders in the community, it’s our job to continue creating opportunity for our neighbors and give back in meaningful ways.”
Throughout the Pathways Workforce Development program, Fortuity will hire, train, manage, develop, and advance well-qualified staff to provide high-quality customer service for the Employer Partner. In their employment with Fortuity and tenure in the program, employees will advance their skills and gain direct experience serving the Employer Partner’s business and customers. Upon graduation from the program, the Employer Partner will be able to hire their sponsored employees directly.
